Asil Urfa in Essen

We ordered Adana Grill 4 times but the meat was very, very salty, we couldn't eat it. 44 euros thrown away.

it doesn't taste at all what I ate last had no kebab taste but normal meat taste sorry that was the worst kebab I have eaten so far unfortunately I have to speak honestly and openly so only two stars

Crazy, I've never sat a kebab bag that was so good and generously filled with meat. Super deliciously seasoned differently than usual, the salad was also impressive, although you usually can't judge it in a kebab ☺️ but I thought it was mega. Large selection of dishes !!! I have been living in Essen for 2 1/2 years and am annoyed that I was there for the first time last night. Due to the current situation (Corona), there is only counter sales but a friendly employee is outside and takes care of the order, etc. Parking spaces on Altendorfer Str. Are difficult to find, but there are parking spaces in the courtyard next street on the left 😉 I'm pretty sure that I take the longer route for such delicious food.

The kebab meat was very unsanitary and not tasty. He cleaned the counter with the rag in the salads. Touched the money and then the kebab bread. One of them telephoned with one hand and finished the kebab with the other. Cashed the money and touched the kebab bread without washing my hands. In this 7-8 min. I observed these deficiencies. I can not imagine if one would watch for longer what comes out of it. I asked them about it we wash our hands in the back. the kebab was not tasty either. never again.I'd better go to Duisburg and eat a delicious kebab

The long opening times are good when you're in Essen and want some good food late. The portions and the prices are perfectly okay, but sometimes you have to wait a bit long for the food. But all in all a good restaurant.

The meat tastes great here, in contrast to the other places. When you show up here as a family and get your order at the table at very different times, that's really not nice. Otherwise nothing to complain about

So I ate in many restaurants but this one is worth the drive there. No matter where you come from, price-performance is excellent. Seldom had such good taste and great service. Worth every tip. The photo was just the starter.

None of the hygiene regulations are observed. The staff is also very and polite and if I wanted to wrap my food, I would be handed a sheet of aluminum foil. However, the food doesn't taste bad.

In a nutshell: good food at reasonable prices. Staff always friendly and nice, at least at lunchtime it is relatively easy. Food is fresh and tasty. Ambience of a snack bar but that doesn't matter, the main thing is clean. Parking is impossible on Altendorferstrasse, but you have a parking space in the backyard, which is sometimes really tight when other vehicles come towards you. The restaurant is always busy and in summer you can sit outside. So go to Altendorf and test it yourself ...

Neither waiters nor customers have anything to do with the hygiene concept in gastronomy. Waiters do not wear masks outside or in the pub. Customers who enter the restaurant without a mask are not made aware of this either. I won't go there anymore.

The restaurant is ok and the staff is very friendly, but these are the only positive things I can write about this place. They told me that the Adana Kebab is very popular but it was a disappointment. The meat was too raw and old. The spices weren’t good at all. The Iskender was without bread and the Döner was too hard. The lamb wasn’t good either. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We were hailed the already prepared Turkish pizza as freshly made. An impudence. You don't even need to talk about the price. Once and never again !! 😨

Breakfast buffet very meager. Nothing has changed since the decade. The friendliness of the service does not justify all these mentioned desolate remarks! 7 € is cheap for a plate of breakfast but if I do not even vollkriege what also carelessly prepared it can unfortunately be inferior. You would be better so give it a try and change a bit the business concept as in Bochum!

Adana was like chewing gum, taste was so so.. Ordered 1 children menu which was just some doner ans fries. Nothing else, no salad or anything.. Just fries and doner and the fat of the doner was all over the french fries.. I thought my fries where gong to swim soon in oil, that much oil... Already oily fries in doner Oil, so it was much too heavy for a kid... The chicken taste was okey, but too dry.. The appetizer was i think lsalad? but it was just some vegetables throwed on the plate without any real taste. All in all, everything was very dissappointing..i am giving it 2 stars because i had much more worse food then this.. But if you want to try asil urfa, do not and save yourself to a dissapointment, go try somewhere else.. Sandwhich?

A friend led us here and the food was great! Loved the meat platter and salad. Staff was welcoming and very friendly. I will be back. Best Turkish I’ve had in Essen!
